Frost Dodger is the flagship Shiraz made by Torzi Matthews from their Mt McKenzie vineyard in the Eden Valley. After a few years hiatus, the Frost Dodger Shiraz returns with the 2021 vintage; the 13th release of this limited release, single vineyard wine crafted via the traditional Italian ‘appassimento’ style dry racking. The result is a generous, complex shiraz bursting with lovely aromatics, and plenty of intense black cherry and blue fruit flavor. With a nice underlying savoriness, wonderful fine tannin and loads of enjoyment, this is sure to be a hugely popular release from Torzi Matthews.
